Junior Diploma
The junior levels at secondary school are important for establishing and growing the skills and attitudes that lead to success in the senior years. Secondly the strength and spirit of the college is dependent on all students meeting expectations and engaging positively in the different aspects of school life.
Therefore successful completion of Year 9 and Year 10, will be recognised formally with the award of the certificate “Lynfield College Junior Diploma”. A student will get this award if they meet expectations and fulfil responsibilities with respect to their learning, and if they demonstrate a commitment to the standards and values of Lynfield College and our motto “Learn to Live”. It is expected that most students will receive the diploma. Uniform, attendance, effort, behaviour, wider school activities participation, school spirit, and positive role modelling are all part of gaining the diploma. The specific criteria to be met by each student will be clearly communicated through the form class teacher, and in a letter home for parents’ information. The Diploma will be awarded at the end of Year 10 and given to successful students with their final report. |
