Year 10

10ARP - VISUAL ARTS

The theme for this year long programme is ‘Journeying the 1960’s’ in New Zealand. Special reference is made to Crown Lynn ceramics which were made locally during this period. Students research historical and social contexts, and investigate a range of art making ideas and methods in the production of a large body of art work.

Drawing and painting are central to this programme although other activities including printmaking, design, sculpture, photography and clay work may be included.

Students maintain a workbook of their pictorial ideas, technical explorations, and critique of their progress.

At the end of the course students present a folio of finished works.
