Learning Assistants (2)

We are looking for active, caring people who have the passion and motivation to work with closely with students with learning difficulties in our collaborative Learning Support Department. Experience with young children is an advantage as is an understanding of a play-based approach. The position will also involve assisting students as required with their personal care, hygiene, toileting and sensory challenges.

Excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential as is IT competency. Applicants must have New Zealand residency. The role is subject to a satisfactory Police check.

Administration Receptionist

A vibrant and engaging person is sought for this key role. As the first point of contact for the College the ability to welcome and assist our visitors with warmth and friendliness is essential, along with the confidence to interact with a diverse range of people of all ages and cultures.

Applicants must have a high level of personal presentation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, initiative and strong organisational skills.

Experience in similar education reception roles and familiarity with Googledocs, Office, Schoology and KAMAR software will be an advantage.

Library and Information Centre Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with knowledge and vision to manage our library and information centre to help support the teaching, learning, and research activities of our Year 9 to 13 students.

Our Centre plays an integral part in resourcing for the College’s learning. You will work with teaching staff to enhance the learning processes for students, and with our IT providers to source and developing programmes and systems to maximise the Centre’s e-devices and resources. You will be supported by two Library Assistants to help manage the day-to-day running of Centre.

You will have the following:

  • An understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum
  • Passion and enthusiasm for making a difference in a diverse educational setting
  • A strong and proactive approach to supporting students and staff
  • Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills
  • An interest in educational software technology and the opportunities it offers
  • Eligibility for LIANZA and SLANZA membership
  • A professional library qualification or be working towards one.

Director of International Students

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, innovative and collegial Director of International Students to lead our International Student Department.

The role is focussed on the continuation and development of our international programme attracting international students and providing quality support to ensure they are welcomed and integrated into the life of the College. The role is backed by experienced staff who manage administration and accommodation provision along with a high level of pastoral and academic support.

The successful applicant will be familiar with the New Zealand education system and curriculum, have previous experience working in international education, preferably in the school sector, and an understanding of the Education Code of Practice 2016.

  • Empathy and enjoyment in working with young people from diverse backgrounds
