Home Economics and Hospitality Food Technician

PERMANENT, PART TIME, TERM TIME ONLY | STARTING MONDAY 2 FEBRUARY 2026

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Home Economics and Hospitality Food Technician to join our team. This role is an essential part of supporting both our staff and students with high-quality learning experiences within the Food and Hospitality curriculum.

At the heart of this position is a commitment to whānaungatanga – fostering positive relationships and a strong sense of community. The ideal candidate will be approachable, reliable, and enthusiastic about helping others succeed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily preparation and organisation of food trolleys, classroom resources, and laundry
  • Managing stock rotation and organisation within the pantry
  • Ordering and purchasing food and consumables
  • Completing costing breakdowns for practical lessons
  • Receiving and managing food deliveries
  • Maintaining the school’s herb garden
  • Providing support for school catering events
