Learning Assistant / Teacher Aide


We are looking for an empathetic, patient and collaborative person to work with students within a mainstream and special education setting in our collaborative Learning Support Department. 

Experience in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques would be an advantage. The successful applicant will have a calm manner, good organisational skills and a flexible approach to the job. Reliability is essential. A positive outlook, a keen sense of humour and the ability to work with people of all ages and ethnicities in a team situation is desirable. Knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga would also be an advantage.

Excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential as is IT competency. Applicants must have New Zealand residency. The role is subject to a satisfactory Police check.

The position is for 31.0 hours per week from 8.30 am – 3.20 pm, during term time only.
