Auckland War Memorial Museum is New Zealand's first Museum. It tells the story of New Zealand, its place in the Pacific and its people. The Museum is a war memorial for the province of Auckland and holds one of New Zealand's top three heritage libraries.

RECREATION
The weather in Auckland is very mild with an average daily temperature during summer of 23°C, while winter temperatures are on average 14°C. Auckland is one of New Zealand's sunniest regions with 2060 annual sunshine hours. Lots of sports, such as golf and tennis, can be played all year round.  For fitness and swimming Cameron Pool and Leisure Centre is nearby.
