We were delighted to welcome 24 students and four teachers from TWGHs Mrs Wu York Yu Memorial College in Hong Kong on Monday 29 June. Although they are only with us for a short visit, they will have the opportunity to experience life at our school by following their student buddies to classes and participating in their regular timetables.
Our international students are staying with local homestay families during their time here, giving them a chance to experience New Zealand culture and hospitality firsthand. We hope they enjoy their time with us and thank our students, staff, and homestay families for making them feel so welcome.

Huge congratulations to the talented cast and crew of Popstars. After two terms of dedication and creativity, they delivered four outstanding performances. A big thank you to all the friends, whānau, and community members who came along and supported — your energy made it the success it was!
Special acknowledgement goes to Production Director Celia Nicholson, Choreographers Sarah Streat and Julia Jenkins-Cox, Musical Director Greg McLarin, Lighting and Sound Oversight Neil Waddington.
Our senior Photography, Design and Painting students are hard at work producing a body of work for the year. The mid year progress video is a showcase of their awesome talent. We are excited to see the variation and scope of their concepts come to fruition. The following link takes you to the Senior Arts Showcase: https://canva.link/9rduo9nqcrn122w

Thai Chen Lau from Year 10, was our only swimming representative at the recent Central-Western Zone event held on Thursday, 21 May at the Westwave Aquatic Centre and the College Sport Individual Championships held on Sunday 7 June at the Westwave Aquatic Centre. He swam in the 50m butterfly and freestyle races at the Zones and the 100m breaststroke and 200m backstroke at the Individual Champs.
While not among the medalists at the two events, Thai Chen achieved several personal best times, for which he is to be congratulated. Lynfield College is very proud of you, and we look forward to seeing your continued growth and future accomplishments.
