The annual Trash to Fashion parade took place during the 2010 Arts Week. There were 30 costumes competing across four categories and the overall winner was Jigna Lekinwala's costume representing the jungle.
All costumes have to made from recycled materials - clothing, rubbish bags, bubble wrap, pool liner and even bed springs had been used by students in creating cleverly-crafted and spectacular outfits.
Two Lynfield College students also featured amongst the prizewinners at the Waitakere City Schools Trash to Fashion competition - Judy Gao won her section and Chelsa D'Lima received a Pacific Arts Award.
